PHYSICAL THERAPY FAQs
What should I wear to my appointments?
You should wear comfortable clothing for exercise, or clothing which allows for easy access to your injured body part.
How long does my appointment last?
Each session lasts for about an hour.
What can I expect during my therapy session?
Everybody's plan of care is different and is based on his or her needs and goals. You may require hands-on physical therapy, therapeutic exercise, Pilates-based rehab, or other modalities such as ultrasound, electrostimulation, etc. The plan is discussed during your initial evaluation and may change over the course of your physical therapy. Feel free to discuss this at any time with your therapist, and ask questions when you have them!
How does my insurance coverage work?
Everybody's insurance policy is different. Please refer to your new patient folder, which contains an explanation of your insurance verification as well as the handout, "How Insurance Policies Work."
What is your cancellation policy?
We require a 24-hour notice of cancellation to avoid a $25 charge that is not covered by your insurance. We do this for 3 reasons:
- We strive to stay one-on-one with our patients.
- So, if you cancel less than 24 hours in advance, you miss out on your therapy, and
- Someone else who may have been able to use that appointment time will probably not be able to use it.
Will I always see the same therapist?
We strive to keep you with the same therapist. However, we do work as a team, and there may be an occasion when you'll need to see another team member.
Where can I park?
There are five perpendicular spaces up front, three diagonal spaces along the side of the building, and two-hour public spaces along Main Street. The parking lot in front of Guac N Tacos is unavailable to Be Fit patients.
