Be Fit to Host 2-Day Regional Pilates Course

We’re hosting a continuing education course for Pilates instructors and healthcare professionals who use Pilates in their practice. Sat. Sept. 29 – Sun. 30, 2018.

This 16-hour, two day course is designed for comprehensively trained Pilates instructors and licensed health care professionals with Pilates training. Attendees will learn interventions from author and Pilates instructor Beth Kaplanek that will help improve stability, alignment and power in the lower extremities.

After undergoing a hip replacement in 2001, Kaplanek, also a registered nurse, began using Pilates as a form of low impact exercise for strength and flexibility training. Encouraged by the positive prognosis of her physician, she began researching how the Pilates Method® could be modified and successfully utilized by individuals with hip or knee conditions and replacements.

Hey #Pilates instructors and Pilates trained health pros. Attend this @polestarpilates training. Pilates can be adapted to the patient’s ROM restrictions post-surgery. Meanwhile, patients form a relationship with an instructor who can help them stay compliant with activity requirements. #DownersGrove IL 9/29/18 https://bit.ly/2BeGlbk
